COMING ELECTION
HAURAKI ELECTORATE MORRINSVILLE THE CENTRE NEW REGISTRAR APPOINTED (Special to Times) MORRINSVILLE, Wednesday With the announcement that Mr \V. T. Rudman, clerk of the Court at Morrinsville, has been appointed registrar of electors for Hauraki, the centre of the Hauraki electorate has been fixed. Since the new boundaries of the district were published there has been conjecture as to which centre would be the electoral headquarters. Previously the Hauraki electorate was centred at Otahuhu, which district is now one of the additional electorates of the North Island. Morrinsville has been the centre of the Waikato licensing district for some years. ROSKILL CONSTITUENCY NATIONAL PARTY NOMINEE It Is announced that Mr G- C. Munn has been nominated for selection as the National Party candidate in the Roskill electorate. Nominations will close on Monday, when the names will go to the election ballot. MR T. K. S. SIDEY CHOSEN TO CONTEST DUNEDIN WEST (By Telegraph.—Press Association) DUNEDIN. Tuesday The selection of Mr T. IC. S. Sidey, son of the late Sir Thomas Sidey, as National candidate for Dunedin West at the general election was announced to-night. It is subject to approval by the Dominion council of the National Party. The present member for Dunedin West is Dr. D. G. McMillan (Labour).
