Greek archbishop’s visit INVESTMENTS IN AUSTRALIA (By Telegraph.—press Association) AUCKLAND, Monday The arrivals on the, Avvatea to-day from Sydney included Sir Andrew Russell, leader of the New Zealand Anzac contingent, who spoke of the great success of the visit to Sydney and its strengthening of the bonds between the two countries. Numerous applications, had been received by the returned soldiers' organisation in Australia for the contingent to visit New Zealand in J DAO.
Greek Orthodox Church, who is paying a periodic visit fo his flock, was another passenger. He. recently visited Greece, whore lie said Hie country was satisfactorily ruled by the dictator, General Metaxns, who worked in harmony with King George. -Mr A. \V. Nisbel, secretary of the Wellington Manufacturers’ Association. who lias been making a study of I industrial development and the operations of wages boards in Australia, relumed. He said be was much im- | pressed with the confidence shown hv I the overseas investor in Australia. ! Literally millions of pounds from the United Kingdom. United States of America, Canada. South Africa and New Zealand was being invested in iron, steel and kindred industries.
