LADIES’ GOLF.
CORONATION MEDAL DOMINION COMPETITION Mrs J. A. Pottlnger (Invercargill) was the winner of the home links Coronation Medal competition played throughout the Dominion during the first week in May by women players with handicaps up to 18. Her card was 85, 15—70, five under the course scratch score. The contest was held under the control of the New Zealand Ladies’ Golf Union. Mrs D. W. Robinson (Queen’s Park), with a score of 86, 16—70, was also five under scratch, but lost on the reoount over the last nine holes. Mrs H. Toombs (Hamilton) returned a card of 95, 23—72 (72). LOOHIEL CLUB The second round for the Captain’s Trophy wae played over the week-end by the lady members of the Lochiel Club, the results being— Mrs S. Bennett beat Mrs Sale, 4 and 3; Mrs Signal beat Miss Turnwald, i up; Mrs Galloway beat Mrs Peaoocke, 2 up. In the non-handicap players Mrs G. Nicholls won Mrs Hall’s Trophy for the three best medal rounds. The Junior Button for the week was won by Miss J. Turner. BORDONTON CLUB DRAW The following Is the draw for the first round of the bogey trophy to be played by members of tbe Gordonton Ladies’ Golf Club on Thursday:— Miss Clark v. Mrs Allen, Mrs Bell v. Mrs Riddell, Mrs Lister v. Miss L. O’Hearn. Mrs Vincent v. Miss E. Thomson, Miss Cain v. Mrs Young, Mrs Forsman v. Miss Fulton. Miss Knight v. Miss Cleianrt, Miss Carswell v. Miss M. Thomson, Mrs Peach v. Miss May all, Miss J. O’Hearn v. Miss J. Taylor, Miss S. Morgan v. Mrs R. Lister, Mlsa M. Saxton and another.
