IMPORTS AND EXPORTS BIG INCREASE IN APRIL (Official Wireless) RUGBY, May 14 The Board of Trade returns l'or April show that the value of imports to Britain totalled £73,679,670, cornfared with £82,870,898 in April, 1937, a decrease of £9,191,228. The value of exports was £37,260,307, compared with £43,027,031, a decrease of £5,766.724, and of re-exports, £5,010, 521. compared with £7,274,487, a decrease of £2.263,966. All three totals are the lowest so far recorded this year, although the exports and imports totals are distinctly higher than those of April, 1936."
