A STEADY RISE
NEW ZEALAND BUTTER PREMIUM OVER DANISH HIGH PRICES FOR SOME TIME United Press Assn.—Elec, i el. Copyright 'Received May 16, 11 a.m.) LONDON, May 15 Butter continues to show a steady advance, and the Dominions are showins a premium over Danish owing to the inferior quality of the present Danish arrivals. The position cannot last, and when full-grass Danish comes to the market in a few weeks it is bound to reestablish a premium over Empire butter. A surprising feature of the market has been the wider margin between Australian and New Zealand descriptions. The outlook, thanks to the dry weather, is for high prices for some time, but the rise will result in the consumption being from 300 to 400 tons a week less tjian a year ago. Cheese is also firmer, and the drought makes a further appreciation most likely.
