RANKS FIFTH IN WORLD
MAURICE BTRICKLAND’S PLANS 'By Telegraph. —Press Association) AUCKLAND, Friday. Maurice Strickland, the New Zealand boxer, who in the past three years has ctlmbed to the top rank of heavyweight boxers, returned by the Monterey, accompanied by his wife and small son. He will leave to-night for Wellington. He will spend a fortnight in the Dominion, anti then return to America. He remarked that he has been listed by the New York premier sports writer as the fifth boxer of the world, ranking after J. Louis, M. Schmelling, M- Baer and T. Farr. He said he would like to spend six months among New Zealand amateurs and added: "I would like to take some big husky ones back to America. I am sure they would do well.” /
