LAWRENCE TIBBETT ENTHUSES SYDNEY

LAWRENCE TIBBETT

SYDNEY'S BIQ THRILL SCENES OF GREAT ENTHUSIASM Sydney’s big thrill of the week is Lawrence Tibbett, says a writer in Sydney Sun. He’s an artist to his finger tips, according to one of the attendants at the Town Hall and he should know. “ There’s none of this fatigue stunt and temperament about Larry,” he said. *' and he finishes up the evening looking as bright as a new-laid egg." Larry seems to have the whole lot —sex appeal, talent, and the prettiest wife in the audience. The Tibbetts Thrilled The Tibbetts themselves were thrilled by Sydney’s reception. Larry said after the first concert that now the ice is broken he cm Jook forward to the next concerts. “ The first 20 songs are the worst.” Mr Tibbett has certainly made musical history in Sydney. He has got a stage-do*or following. A hundred or so—men and women—waited for him on the Town Hall steps after the performance—and it was a very chilly night. The Tibbetts celebrated afterwards at Romano’s. Extra Concerts Three extra concerts, making eight In all, are being given in Svdnev bv Mr Tibbett.
