CROQUET CLOSINGS

PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES ANNUAL MEETING HELD There was a good attendance at the annual meeting of the Otorohanga Central Croquet Club, Mrs J. Sing Kio Klo), being in the chair. The report and balance-sheet were considered progressive and satisfactory. The election of officers resulted:— Patron, Mrs W. J. Broadfoot; president, .Mrs J. Sing; vice-presidents, Mesdames Tait, Morley, Bonnington and Macfarlane; secretary, Mrs W. I. Bowyer; treasurer, Mrs Schultz; executive committee, Mesdames Fairbrother, Wyllie and Strawbridge; match committee, Mesdames Wyllie, Crosby, and Bowyer; social committee, Mesdames Rhodes, Croton, Rust, Strawbridge and Bowyer; tea steward, Mrs Strawbridge; green superintendents, Mrs Fairbrother and Mr Harry Crosby. Mrs Tait, vice-president, presented the trophies won during the season to the following successful players: Rose bowl, Mrs Cleland (Puketarata) ; president's trophy, Mrs Wyllie (Kio Kio); A and B doubles, Mesdames Cleland and Rust; A progressive, Mrs Morley; B progressive, Mrs Schultz; A brooch, Mrs Fairbrother; B brooch, Mrs Cleland ; most improved junior player, Mrs Burton. Otorohanga Club The trophies won during the season by players in the Otorohanga Club, were presented to the winners by Mrs Neshausen as follows:—RolJpston cup, Mrs P. Baikie; president's trophy, Mrs George Neshausen; B champion, Mrs P. Baikie: B handicap, Mrs P. Baikie; A progressive, Mrs G. Neshausen; B progressive, Mrs G. Urquhart; Rust brooches. Mesdames E. McDonnell and P. Baikie; A progressive. Mrs W. Rust; B progressive, Mrs McDonnell; bowls, Mrs Ormsby; trail. Mrs W. Hoskins; competitions, Mesdames A. R. Morley, S. Oliver and A. Still. Games and competitions concluded the season's play.
