GIFT EVENING
HINUERA YOUNG PEOPLE’S CLUB | A gift evening, organised by the j Hinuera Young People’s Club, was I tendered Mr and Mrs Neville Pond, j who were married recently. The ; evening was spent in dancing, music being supplied by Mrs T. Cotter, and the Highland Fling was danced by Miss Jean McDonald. Mr_Frank Conder presented Mr and Mrs Pond with a set of carvers from the club, and Mr S. Collins, on behalf of the tennis club, presented them with a silver cake dish. The basketball girls made the presentation to Mrs Pond of a crystal powder bowl, and Mr D. Mclsaac asked Mr and Mrs Poncf to open the many gifts. Mr Pond suitably responded. Mr F. Conder was M.C.
