DIBPERBAL OF JERSEYS MOTO-ITI AND HEATHERLEA Selling to a keen bench of buyers a complete clearance was made at the Claudelands pavilion yesterday when pedigree Jerseys fom Mr A. O. Addis’ Moto-iti stud (Taihape) and Mr H. J. Lancaster's Ileatherlea herd (Levin) were offered by Messrs. Wright, Stephenson and Company. Mr C. E. Robertson was in the rostrum. Mr Addis’ lots were offered first and steady bidding resulted in the whole entry being cleared at the satisfactory averages of 20 guineas for cows and 9| guineas for heifers. Two bulls made 12 guineas each. Top price of the day was secured for Sybil’s Ceam Beauty (Oaklands CombinationBrooklyn Lady Goldie), this cow going to Mr D. O. Murray, of Whakatene, for 41 guineas. Mr J. H. Williams (Waharoa) was last bidder on Squire’s Golden Beauty (September, 1931) at 40 guineas, while Mr Murray acquired Moto-iti Crinkle and Motoiti Cream Cracker at 30 guineas each. Other good prices were: Noble Win Heart (August, 19291, 23 guineas; Coe Brothers, Te Kawa; Moto-iti Beauty (August, 1933), 22 guineas, R. Koch, Junior, Te Aroha; Sybil’s Crystal (September, 1929), 26 guineas, I H. J. Hodgson, Hairini; Successor’s Cream Lady (October, 1932), 21 ! guineas, J. A. Ranger, Putaruru.; Moto-iti Winnie (August, 1933), 21 guineas, Mrs B. Edwards, Te Aroha; Moto-iti Lucky Lass (August, 1934), 20J guineas, Mrs B. Edwards, Te Aroha. Mr. Lancaster’s Offering. Even bidding was the feature of the sale on Mr Lancaster’s in-calf heifers, the eight offered averaging 21 guineas. Top value was made for the last lot of the day, Heatherlea Buttergirl (November, 1936), an intensely bred Majesty heifer, who was purchased by Mr W. Meas, of Ngarua, for 32 guineas. Twenty-eight guineas was the figure which secured I Heatherlea Blonde (September, 1936), for Mr R. N. Sterling, of Matakohe, while Mr R. Campbell, of Puketaha, paid three guineas below this figure for Heatherlea Brunette (July, 1936).
