Adjutant G. S. Arndt, a missionary officer of the Salvation Army, Korea, is in Hamilton, and will conduct services at the Citadel to-morrow.
The Right Rev. L. S. Kempthorne, Bishop in Polynesia, who is making a New Zealand tour on deputation work for the' Anglican Board of Missions, is in the Bay of Plenty.
Messrs W. Simpson, R. O'Brien, G. Foster (Auckland), J. B. Norris (Christchurch), E. L. . Burnett (Wanganui), C. W. Batten and H. E. Foley (Wellington) are at the Hamilton Hotel.
The' University of New Zealand has received a cablegram from the registrar of the University of Bristol notifying the appointment to the Michael Hiatt Baker Scholarship in that university of Mr S. C. B. Gascoigne, M.Sc., of Auckland.
Officers at the annual conference of the Secondary Schools’ Association at Wellington were elected as follows: President, Mr J. Hutton; vice-presi-dent, Mr H. A. Heron; executive, Miss Stewart, Messrs W. A. Armour, E. N. Hogbe'n, J. N. Millard, G. W. Morice, H. Henderson and E. W. Espiner; sec-retary-treasurer, Mr A. H. Thom.
Officers of the New Zealand Educational Institute have been elected as follows: —President, Mr T. Kane (Foxton) ; vice-president, Mr D. C. Pryor (Martinborough) ; treasurer, Mr J.
