NEW JUDGE
MR QUILLIAM APPOINTED RELIEVING MR JUSTICE OSTLER (By Telegraph.— Press Association) WELLINGTON, Friday Mr James Henry Quilliam, a former well-known New Plymouth lawyer, has been appointed a judge of the Supreme Court to relieve Mr Justice Ostler. Making the announcement, the At-torney-General, the Hon. 11. G. R. Mason, said because of the continued illness of Mr Justice Ostler it had become necessary to make a temporary appointment. Mr Quilliam will take up his duties immediately and will officiate largely* in Wellington and those circuits adjacent which were in charge of Mr Justice Ostler.
