London, who now has a lead of 27. CONQUEST OF ETHIOPIA NOT RECOGNISED BY AMERICA WASHINGTON, May 12. In response to press conference questions as to whether a change in the national policy is contemplated In view of the League of Nations debate regarding Ethiopia, Mr Cordell Hull stated that the United States stands squarely upon its policy of refusal to recognise territory gained by force and violation of existing treaties.
