PERSONAL NEWS Miss A. D. Joynt (Auckland), Mrs K. S. Caldwell and family (Huntly), Mrs R. Holmes, Mrs Troupe and Miss N. Troupe, Mrs J- A. Burson, Mrs C. Carter and family (Auckland), and Mrs Sapsford (Kihikihi) are visitors to Raglan. DRAMA CIRCLE The Raglan Drama Circle held its annual meeting and first reading recently at the residence of Mrs H. Orr. Mr F. N. Hardey was elected president and Mrs ‘Orr secretary. Mrs Reynolds undertook to produce the play for the British Drama League festival. Two plays, “Wurzel Flummery” and ‘‘The House with the Twisty Windows,” were read and enjoyed. WOMEN’S FEDERATION The monthly meeting of the Raglan branch of the Federation of Congregational Women was held in the church. Mrs G. Carr led the study on the book chosen for the year’s devotions. Arrangements were made for the annual Day of Prayer to be held next week, invitations being sent to the Anglican Ladies’ Guild and the Anglican Missionary Society. The meeting closed with the serving of afternoon tea.
