BADMINTON
WAIKATO V. TARANAKI HOME TEAM SELECTED The first Wlsden Cup badminton match of the season will be played in Bledisloe Hall, Hamilton, on Saturday evening, when Waikato (holders) will play Taranaki. The games will commence at 6 p.m.. and will continue throughout the evening. The Taranaki players have shown considerable improvement over the past two seasons, and with C. Speddjng as their star performer, should fully test the Waikato team. Two teams will be playing. The Waikato players will be as follows: A Team Men: R. Lewis Te Aroha), H. H. Fow (Hamilton 1 . F. Johnstone (Te Aroha). A. Dempster 'Hamilton); reserve. R. Fear Hamilton). Ladies: Miss M. Edmondson (Hamilton), Miss J. Clough (Hamilton),Mrs J. Yend#»ll (Hamilton), Mrs H. TI. Fow 'Hamilton); reserve, Miss Campbell (Hamilton). B Team Men: G. Clough, T. Skeet, R. Russell, I. Fell. Ladies: Misses B. Aitken. M. Clough, Z. Holmes, L. Cox.
