Wednesday The accident to the Union Airways Lockheed Electra air liner at Mangere on Tuesday will be the subject of an official investigation by a board of inquiry presided over by a stipendiary magistrate. The Minister in charge of Aviation, the Hon. F. Tones, said this evening that a report would first be obtained from the inspector of air accidents and that, following the usual practice in cases of aviation fatalities, a board of inquiry would be set up in due course. The board«\vould consist of a magistrate and two assessors appointed by the Minister, one of whom would be selected from a panel of names submitted by the Air Pilots’ Guild. The proceedings would be open to the Press.
