PRE-WEDDING PARTY
KITCHEN EVENING Mrs W. M. Cann, junr., was hostess at her home in River Road on Tuesday evening at a delightfully-arranged party in honour of Miss Berls Stephens, whose marriage will take place this week. Flowers in autumn colourings, comprising chrysanthemums and zinnias, formed artistic decoration in the rooms. Competitions arranged for the entertainment of the guests were won by Mrs Stephens, Mrs Stubbs, Miss Beris Stephens and Miss Zena sonTo receive her guests Mrs Cann was wearing a frock of blue and navy flowered crepe Glamis, the guest-of-honour wearing emerald gre-in crepe de chine relieved with henna. Mrs Stephens wore floral georgette and Mrs F. Seceomue’s frock of georgette was printed in shades of navy, gree’i and gold. The guests present were:—Mrs JB. Fitz-Gerald, Mrs C. W. Armstrong, Mrs Flynn, Mrs L. Stubbs, Mrs T. Simpson, Miss Phyllis Seccombe, Miss Daphne Gould, Miss Lucy Elliot, Miss Hath Redwood, Miss Zena Hodgson, Miss Ycra Cann, Miss Audrey Howe.
