ALMADALE JERBEYB COMPLETE DISPERSAL TO-DAY The largest bench of buyers seen at a pedigree cattle sale for some time was present for the first day’s sale of the Almadale Jersey stud, the property of Mr W. H. Miers, at the homestead, Rototuna, to-day. Competition was brisk throughout the early sales, keen prices being paid by breeders representative of nearly all the North Auckland districts. The sale was conducted by Messrs Wright. Stephenson and Company, with Mr C. E. Robertson In the rostrum. The top price of the early sales was 103gns.. this being paid by Mr D. McInnes, of Hikurangi. for the four-year-old bull ” Almadale Panther.” Dr. George Walker, of Whangarei. paid some of the top prices to-day. buying the five-year-old cow, “ Almadale Elect.” at 90gns.. and giving 75gns. for another flvp-year-ojd cow in •• Almadale Begonia.”
