SERIES OPENB QUIETLY LITTLE CHANGE IN PRICES KEEN GENERAL DEMAND (United Prrss Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) Received May 11, 315 p.m.) LONDON, May 10 The wool sales opened quietly, prices being unchanged. A total of 9069 bales was offered, including 4171 bales New Zealand, and 7082 bales were sold. There was a moderate selection, with keen general demand, chiefly for good wools. Slipes and inferior wools were frequently withdrawn. Slipes were from par to 5 per cent, lower and others unchanged from the closing prices of the last series.
