WAIKATO HUNT

OPENING MEET MANY SPECTATORS ATTEND With the first chill of winter in the air, a grey day and scent breast high, members of the Waikato Hunt Club enjoyed the first run of the season when they met the Master, Mr Wynn Brown at The Kennels on Saturday. A large field followed the hounds, while an even larger number of enthusiasts arrived in cars to watch the sport. llounds finally whipped in, those present were entertained to tea in thq garden at “Ngaheke," the home of Mr W’ynn Brown, whose daughters, Mrs L. L. Orr and Miss Rhoda Brown, assisted by Mrs Ned Broun, acted as hostesses. Lady riders noticed in the field were:—Mrs J. Ryall (Aria), Mrs Frank Baker. Mrs Johnson.
