FAREWELL AT ROTOTUNA
P.W.M.U. MEMBERB The members of the RototunaHorsham Downs branch of the Presbyterian Women's Missionary Union and friends gathered at Mrs D. S. McKlnlay’s residence recently to bid farewell to Mrs P. Matheson. The afternoon passed pleasantly with games and competitions which were won by Mrs Wightman and Mrs K. Macdonald. Mrs S. Clements expressed the regret of those present at Mrs Matheson's Impending departure from the district, and mentioned that the guest of the afternoon had been an active member of the Union since the branch was formed in 1927. Mrs D. Macdonald presented Mrs Matheson with a reading-lamp and a book. Mrs Matheson, who was wearing a floral navy ensemble, suitably responded. She was presented with a lovely bouquet and accorded musical honours. Those present were:—Mesdames Matheson, McKinlay, Evans (Palmerston North',, Clements. D. Macdonald, T. 11. Henderson. Haycock, J. Preest, Upson. Wade, Thompson. Booth, J. Carson, K- Macdonald (Morrinsville), Wightman, Keller, Thomas, Hope, Procter, James Carson, Mclntyre, Norvell; Misses N. Henderson, M. Thompson. G. Clements, B. Haycock, R. Clement, G. M. Clement, Jean Fullerton.
