bones— McCarthy The marriage was solemnised at St. Peter's Church, Cambridge, on Saturday, April 30, between Cynthia May, second daughter of Mr and Mrs T. McCarthy. Kaipaki, and Cecil Travice, eldest son of Mr and Mrs J. Bones, 6en.. Kaipaki. The ceremony wag performed by the Rev. Father Farragher and the wedding music was played by Miss Plescher. The bride, who entered the church with her father, looked charming in a gown of ivory satin, cut on classical lines. The bodice was tight-fTtting. with a high, pointed waistline in front, above which rows of shirring caught it up to an inset, vandyked

yoke of silk lace. A row of small satin buttons finished the back from the neck-line to the top of the train. The sleeves were long and tight-fitting, with rows of shirring at the top to give the wide shoulder offect. and finished a-t the wrist with a point of lace falling over the hand. Ttie skirt was tight-fitting in front and the long, graceful train was inset with godets of silk lace. She wore a silk embroidered veil, caught to the head with a coronet of orange blossoms, and forming a second train, and she carried a beautiful sheaf of cream roses, chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern.

She was attended by her sister. Miss Shirley McCarthy, who wore a gown of salmon pink taffeta. The bodice was fashioned with a circular yoke, brought down to form a panel in the centre of the back and front to the waistline, and fully puffed elbow-length sleeves- Small powderblue velvet ribbon bows decorated the front of the bodice and a sash of similar velvet finished the waistline. She wore a halo of pleated pink net to match, fTnished with a tiny wreath of pink rosebuds and forget-me-nots. She carried a bouquet of pink and bronze chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern.

The little flower girl, Monica Costello, wore a Period frock of pale pink georgette, with short puffed sleeves, and rows of Yalenciennls lace Inset in the tlght-fltting bodice. She wore a halo similar to the bridesmaid's and she carried a posy of delphiniums, pink dahlias and fern. Mr R. Bones, brother of the bridegroom, was best man, and Messrs F. Bones and J. McCarthy were the ushers.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride, where, in a laive marquee. Ihe bride's mother received the guests. Mrs McCarthy wore a smart navy costume, with a beige lace vestee, and a navy felt Breton sailor hat, with ciri ribbon rosette and small eyeveil. She carried a posy of red dahlias, roses and gerberas. The bridegroom's mother wore a navy blue ensemble, trimmed with contrasting floral satin, and a navy felt hat, and she carried a posy of blue delphinium and pink dahlias. When Mr and Mrs C. T. Bones left later by car for the honeymoon, the bride travelled in a smart navy costume, with cream satin vestee, navy hat with a silver ornament and eyeveil. and navy accessories.

F. Gumming, of Horotiu. The Rev. G. F. Brown was the officiating minister, and Mrs A. Bettany presided at the organ.

The church had been beautifully decorated by friends of the bride. The bride, who entered the church with her brother. Mr P. Hinton, owing to the absence of her father through illness, wore a graceful gown of Ivory embossed chenille georgette fashioned on slender lines, the skirt falling to form a train- The bodice was fashioned with long bishop sleeves to the wrist, and a cowl neckline finished with sprays of orange blossom. Her veil of embroidered tulle was worn over the face on entering the church, and she carried a trailing sheaf of white chrysanthemums and shell pink rosebuds.

She was attended by Miss Ann Medway. who wore a redinpote of Sicilian preen taffeta over her frock of floral ninon in autumn toningrs. The bride, who entered the church with her brother, looked charming in a frock of ivory lace, embossed in a rose design over pearl tinted satin, made on Victorian lines, with ruched bodice and softly draped neckline, finished with a small spray of orange blossom. The sleeves were large puffs above the elbows, tight-fitting to the wrists, and ending in points over the hands. Pearl satin bows ornamented the back from the neckline to below the waistline, where the fully flared skirt fell into a circular train. A string of ivory rosary beads was worn. The veil of pearl-tinted tulle, caught to the back of the head with a spray of chrysanthemums, was worn over the face on entering the church and fell to form a second billowy train. She carried a sheaf of pearl chrysanthemums. The bridesmaids, Misses J. Yallilley, cousin of the bride. G. Kempthorne and I. McDonald, sister of the bridegroom, were frocked in pink, green and lilac embossed taffeta respectively. made on Victorian lines. The fitting, low-necked bodices were finished with fluted collars and corded medallions. At the waist were corselet belts cut into a point at the front and fastened at the back with sprays of pink and lilac chrysanthemums- The large puff sleeves were ruched with cord and the full skirts fell Into short circular trains. Taffeta poke -bonnets were worn to match each frock, finished under the brim with pastel flowers and bows at the back, and they carried cascading bouquets of dahlias, chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern with large bows toning with the colour of their frocks.

The bridegroom was attended by Mr V. J. Clarke, of "Wellington, as best man, and Messrs J. Casey and D. Graham, of Te Awamutu. as groomsman. The ushers were Messrs R. Kempthorne and R. Rothwell. A reception was held afterwards at the Centreway Rooms where the tables had been decorated with pink and lilac flowers. A large Weddingbell, ornamented in paste! chrysanthemums, was suspended over the bridal table. The guests were received by Mrs J. Appleby wearing black and white embossed cloque with a coat of black georgette. She wore a black velour felt hat and carried a posy of autumn-tinted flowers. Mrs McCutcheon, aunt of the bride, was wearing an ensemble of navy blue leaf embossed cloque finished with a small red spray at the neck. She wore a navy peachbloom felt hat and carried a posy of scarlet zinnias. They were assisted by Mrs Robleson, who wore a frock of midnight blue real silk sprigged with a gold leaf, matching coat, and a blue hat trimmed with pink daisies- She carried a posy of pink and blue flowers. Mrs Todd, the bridegroom’s grandmother, wore a navy frock with matching hat and accessories.

CRUMP—MAZENGARB A wedding of interest in Motumaoho and Morrlnsville was solemnised at St. George’s Church. Frankton, on April 23, when Lily Thelma, youngest daughter of Mr A. Mazengarb and the late Mrs Mazengarb, of Motumaoho, was married to William Crump, of Morrlnsville, nephew of Mrs W. Northcott, Taluanui. The Bishop of Waikato, the Right Rev. C. A. Cherrington, performed the cerc/nony. The. bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a graceful gown of pearl bridal satin, fashioned on slimfitting lines. The high-waisted bodice was shirred in front, and finished at the Y-shnped neckline with a spray of orange blossom. The long, fitting sleeves fell to a point over the hands, and were finished at the wrist with satin buttons, the skirt with a ruched centre panel at the back, falling to form a full train. The waitline was finished with a plaited satin girdle, finished with silver tassels. The beautiful veil of embroidered tulle fell from a halo of pleated tulle, and orange blossom, to form a second train, and the bride carried a sheaf of roses, cactus dahlias, carnations and maidenhair fern.

The bride was attended by Miss A. Ferguson, who wore a graceful frock of pastel-shaded, floral satin brocade, over which was worn a redingote of pastel pink stiffened net. edged with rows of a deeper pink ribbon. The redincote was fastened with rosettes of ribbon and fashioned with short, puffed sleeves. She wore a halo of pink and silver, attached to a cap of pink tulle, and the posy she carried was of carnations, cactus dahlias and roses, in shades to tone with her frock. Mr R. Somers, of Morrlnsville, was best man. and Messrs K. and D. Jenner, of Motumaoho. were ushers. As the bride left the church Miss F. Crossen, cousin of the bride, presented her with an ivory satin horseshoe.

After the ceremony a reception was held at the Wattle Rooms, where the guests were received by Mrs M. Crossen, the bride’s aunt, wearing a model gown of brown satin-backed Continental crepe, with satin applique trimming, and matching hat of brown French velour. She carried a posy of bronze, gold and flame flowers. She was assisted by Mrs W. Northcott, aunt of the bridegroom, who wore a smart navy costume, with matching hat and furs. Her posy was of pink spider-lilies and delphiniums. Mrs J. Linklater, grandmother of the bride, wore a brown frock with matching coatee and hat, and carried a small posy of autumn-shaded flowers. Mrs J. Street, the bride’s sister, wore a navy tailored costume, with accessories to tone.

When Mr and Mrs W. Crump left for the wedding trip the bride was wearing a smartly-tailored brown costume, with toque, furs and accessories to tone.
