INDIGNANT PARENTS
DEPLORABLE SCHOOLGROUNDS RESENTMENT AT WAIHI PROTEST TO MINISTERS (By Telegrapn.—Press Association) WAIHI, Friday The indignation of the parents and guardians of the Waihi High School concerning the deplorable condition of the playing grounds was the keynote of the proceedings at the annual meeting. The following resolution was carried: “That this meeting of parents and guardians emphatically protests against the delay of the completion of the grounds, believing the present condition constitutes a serious physical danger to the children and "restricts healthful games.”
Copies of the resolution are being sent to the Ministers of Public Works and Education. During the discussion the fact was recalled that it was reported In Press Association papers In November that the work would be commenced Immediately, which, with the use of would be completed in a short time, but nothing had been doneIn the meanwhile 140 boys of 10 years and over have no playing area, the grounds being a quagmire.
