YARDING AT KAUROA Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, report on their usual stock sale at Kauroa on Wednesday, as under: A medium yarding of fat and store cattle composed mostly fat Shorthorn and Jersey cows and store Shorthorn and Jersey cross cows, A numberof cows and calves came forward and sold readily. Competition for the springers offered was good and practically a total clearance was effected. Heavy fat S.H. cows made £9 to £9 ss; medium fat S.H. cows, £6 5s to £7 3s 6d: fat Jersey cows, £5 10s to £6 15s; 2s-vear P.A. steeds, £7 to £7 3s; good P.A. weaner steers, £4 Is to £4 15s; 2-year S.H. Jersey cross steers, £3 2s 6d to £3 15s; S.H. cows with good calves, £3 10s to £4 Is, all counted; others, £2 to £2 15s; boner cows, £2 10s to £2 15s; P.A. bulls, £5 os to £7; potter bulls. £4 to £5 7s 6cl; good quality springing Jersey heifers, small, £7 5s to £7 15s; others, £6 to £6 10s; springing cows, July cal vers, £5 10s to £6 15s; cows in calf, £3 15s to £4 ss.
RATES AT WAIHI The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report having held their usual fortnightly stock sale at Waihi yesterday, when" only a small entry of fat and store cows was penned Competition was good and a total clearance was effected at full late rates. A small entry of fat pigs sold at rates in advance of those ruling at last sale. Second quality heavy fat cows made £6 to £6 16s"; medium fat cows, £5 to £5 15s; heavy bacqners. £3 15s to £4 ss; medium boner cows, £3 to £3 10s; light. 35s to £2 10s; light potter hulls. £4 to £5 os. Pigs: Medium baconers, £3 lOs to £3 17s: light, £3 to £3 8s; heavy porkers, £2 6s to £2 12s; medium, £2 to £2 ss; light. 32s to 38s; unfinished. 25s to 30s; choppers, £2 10s to £3 10s: weaners, 7s to 7s 6d.
