Copyright. r ((Received August 28, 11 a.m.) 1 NEW YORK, August 27 A mesage from Poughkeepsie states that the legless swimmer Charles Zimmy, who is attempting a 143-miles swim down the Hudson River, lias passed the half-way mark, alter battling with heavy tides. In a message to the President, Mr Roosevelt, he’ said: “ I salute you from the waters of tlio Hudson.”
