LADIES’ NIGHT
OHAUPO ORPHANS’ CLUB. VERY HAPPY FUNCTION. A particularly happy spirit prevailed at the Ladies’ Night held by the Ohaupo Orphans’ Club In the Town Hall on Thursday evening. There was a large attendance, the President of the Ohaupo Club, Mr A. Emmett, presiding. A varied and very pleasant programme was presented and much appreciated by the guests. Items were given by Miss M. Forsyth (national dances) ; the Orchestra (selections) ; Mr K. P. Eade (songs) ; Mr S. J. Ward (monologues) ; Mr W. Richards (songs) ; Mr Fletcher, (songs) ; Mr S. Johnson (humour) ; Mrs C. Linder (monologues) and the Hamilton Playbox who presented “The Man In The Bowler Hat.” A delicious supper was served. Among those present were: —Mesdames A. Emmett, W. A. Schultz (Hamilton), W. Forsyth, <R. P. Hazard (Hamilton), Harold Teddy, C. K. Edwards. E. J. Edwards, G. Russell, (Hamilton), C. Linder (Hamilton), W. A Forsyth, K. P. Eade , (Hamilton), W. Beachen.
