The special forecast by the Government Meteorologist covering the WaikatoThames Valley is ns follows: Forecast: Light to moderate southerly winds prevailing. but gradually veering to northerly. Weather changeable with scattered showers or misty rain and cool to moderate temperatures. Sea* Slight to moderate. General Inference: A shallow depression has been crossing the Dominion, its centre this morning being located east of the North Island. Pressure is still rather low over the north Tasman, but relatively high between Tasmania and southern Now Zealand.
