SOUTHLAND DAIRY FACTORIES ' “THE MINIMUM NECESSARY” (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL. Thursday A representative meeting of Southland dairy factory directors passed the following resolution, which has been sent to the Minister: ” We demand & guaranteed price of not less than Is 6d per lb butter-fat, this being the absolute minimum necessary to meet the Increased costs with which the Industry is being loaded and to enable the dairy farmer to maintain a reasonable standard of living and pay competitive wages with other industries.”
