AUCKLAND TITLES J. DUNCAN DEFEATED. (Special to Times.) AUCKLAND, Wednesday When the annual Auokland provincial boxing championship tournament was continued at Auckland last evening, J. Duncan, the Frankton boxer, was defeated by B. Lyall In the semifinal of the light-weight division. Duncan was beaten after a good bout on points. V. CAMBRIDGE, Wednesday. At the conclusion of the St. Peter*# School boxing championships the judge, Mr F. E. S. Long (Hamilton), commented upon the unusually high standard attained by the competitor# and the excellent gymnastic display, whioh was a feature of the programme. The results were:—Boxing: Heavyweight, P. A. Gardner, middle-weight, A. B. Orr; welter-weight, G. L. Caldwell; light-weight, V. J. Lamer; feather-weight, J. L. R. Bloomfield; bantam-weight, R. C. G, Chandler; oatch-welght, W. N. Vosper; flyweight, C. J. Whitney. Gymnastics : J. R. Miller, 1; K. Simpson, 2; L. L. Hickson, 8. The inter-form competition was won by the senior division by a narrow margin from the middle division, with the lower division third.
