MIBHAP WITH PICK-AXE ENGINE DRIVER FRACTURES LEO. Through striking his leg with a pick-axe, Mr Harry Aldridge Robinson (G 9). an engine-driver employed by the Te Aroha Borough Council, received a fractured leg yesterday. He was brought to the Waikato Hospital in a St. John ambulance.

CAUSTIC BODA BURNS FARM HAND’S EYE INJURY Severe burns were received by a farm hand, Mr William Neil, employed by the Davis Estate' farm at Manawaru, when caustic soda solution he was using for cleaning milking cups splashed into his eye. After receiving medical attention at Te Aroha he was transferred to the Waikalo Hospital last evening.
