SUCCESSFUL YEAR. FINANCES IN 80UND POBITION. (Special to Times.) PUTARURU, Tuesday. The annual meeting- of the Putaruru A. and P. Society was held In the Town Hall when Mr A. n. Vosper, president, was In the chair. In his annual report the president stated that the year had been most successful. At the annual show in March the chopping event had created a loss or £l6 8s tod but this, he stated, had not affected the financial success of the show and 'a pront or £7 17s Id had been made. The balance-sheet disclosed that as a result or the great success or the Queen Carnival the assets or the society showed an Increase over liabilities of £5 18 Is 9d, and considering that this was the society’s second year the position was very satisfactory. The total membership was 282, an Increase of 27 for the year. Members agreed td retalfci the chop events Tor next year, the question of entry fees being lert to the incoming committee. Alder lengthy discussion a resolution was passed raising the senior subscription to £1 and the admission fee to the annual show to Is 6d. The election or officers resulted.—Patron: Mr A. F.
