Mr O. C. Mazengarb, of Wellington, is in Hamilton. Mr H. W. Palmer, of London, is at the Hamilton Hotel. Messrs S. W. Oakley and R. N. Trembath (Melbourne) arc at the Hamilton Hotel. The Rt. Rev. J. A. Kempthome, former Bishop of Litchfield, arrived in Auckland by the Niagara to-day. Mr T. H. Hampshire, of Cambridge, attended the reunion of officers of the flying services in the Great War at Auckland on Saturday. Mr H. Temple White, of Wellington, is acting as Judge of the’ vocal and Instrumental sections at the H&wera competitions.
Mr W. Rowan, formerly accountant on the stafT of the Napier branch of the Bank of New Zealand, has taken over the' managership of the Paeroa branch.
Mr A. F. B. Broadhurst. headmaster of St. Peter’s Sohool, Cambridge, presided at the third annual reunion of former officers of the flying services in the Great War held in Auckland on (Saturday evening.
Mr F. G. Hall-Jones. district governor of Rotary in New Zealand, who has been attending the annual conference of Rotary International at Nice, France, returned to Auckland toy the Niagara to-day.
Dr. P. S. de Q. Cabot, a prominent I student of Otago University, who has won distinction in educational circles in the United States, will leave Auckland on his return by the Monterey to-day after a visit of six weeks to the Dominion.
Captain G. Dittmer, Waikato Area Officer of the Defence Department, was elected an honorary member of E Company, 20th Reinforcement of Hie New Zealand Expeditionary Force, at the re-union of the company in Hamilton on Saturday evening.
Mr E. Muller, who has occupied the position of vice-president of the Nestle and Anglo-Swlss Holding Company Limited of Weve'y. Switzerland, was, at a recent meeting of the board of directors of that company, unanimously elected to the position of president.
| Mr G. W. Martin, Marine DepartI inent inspector of machinery and surveyor of ships at Hamilton, has been appointed surveyor to Lloyd’s Register in Dunedin, in succession to Mr W. J. Crawford, who has held the position for nearly 15 years. Mr Martin, who Joined the department twelve months ago, will leave for the south at the end of August.
