£3231 DAMAGES.
AWARDED A CARPENTER. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Friday. Damages totalling £3231 were awarded to Stephen Higgins, a carpenter, to-day, in the Supreme Gourl. for injuries suffered when tie was knocked down by a taxi in Adelaide Bond last April. The taxi which was owned by .lames Vivian Siddall. was being driven by Charles Anthony Wilfred Wheeler. As a consequence of the accident plaintiff lost his right leg and suffered injuries to his head and sight. He alleged negligence against the driver of Ihe taxi and sought £SOOO general and £231 13s Gd special damages.
