Don Cossacks for Hamilton? The Don Cossack Choir and Dancers, who are delighting large audiences in the South Island, may come to Hamilton after the Auckland season. Australian Pianist In England. Eileen Joyce, the Australian pianist who was in New Zealand a year or two ago, played the solo piano part in Vincent d’lndy’s “ Symphonie sur en cliane mantagnard,” with the British Women’s Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Boyd iNeel, on July 13. Concert and Auction. Arrangements are well In hand for the combined concert and auction sale to be held at St. George’s Hall on Monday evening. A successful evening is assured and owing to the length of the programme, which will commence at 8 p.m. sharp, patrons are requested to be seated by 7.55 p.m.. The - Hamilton Citizcnsßand and prominent local artists will render items, and during the evening various commodities will be offered for sale by auction. By courtesy of Buq.es Ltd. free buses will be run, after the entertainment, to Hamilton, Hamilto.n East and Claudelands.
