CARNIVAL DANCE.
ENJOYABLE HUNTLY EVENING. An enjoyable carnival dance and euchre evening was held by the Huntly branch of the Labour Party In the Town Hall, Huntly, recently. The hall, which was well filled with dancers, was prettily decorated with looped festoons of streamers in the party’s colours —green, red and yellow—with coloured balloons arranged at intervals. Novelties distributed during the evening added to the gaiety of the function. Music played by the Casa Loma Orchestra, of Auckland, was much enjoyed, an adn extra by Mr D. Shaw was much appreciated. Messrs R. Dowd and F. Brook were M’s.C. Novelty dances were won by Aftss K. Heffron and Mr Anderson, and Miss A. Brooks and partnerThe successful euchre players were as follows: —Ladies, Mrs R.
