FAREWELL AFTERNOON.

FOR MRS. J. CROTHERS. NGARUAWAHIA FUNCTION. To farewell Mrs J. Crothers, who is leaving Ngaruawahia to reside in Hamilton an afternoon was given by Mrs H. S. W. Morris and friends in the Talisman Rooms yesterday. The guest of honour, who was wearing a frock of navy marocain with lace relief, was the recipient of three beautiful bouquets. During the afternoon the presentation of a silver teapot was made to Mrs Crothers by Dr. D. Martin, who expressed the regret of those present at her departure. Among those present were:—Mesdames H. S. W. Morris, D. Martin, H. B. Fraser, McGregor, R. E. Bell, C. McCowan, R. Begbie. Misses Smith, M. O’Dea and L. Smith.
