GOVERNMENT DEPOSITS. RISE IN DAIRY ADVANCES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. The Reserve Bank return for the week ended Monday, August 16, was gazetted to-night. The statement Is balanced at £31,16 I,l*B or £529,705 more than at the close of the previous week. A further decrease of £138,046 in the level of Government deposits, following one of £112,583 the week before, is shown, hep..sits of the trading banks are £'§'§7,l23 higher, other demand liabilities have increased by £189,08 1 . while the note issue is £31,975 higher. The sterling exchange reserve is £245,970 greater in value than the week before. Advances to the Dairy Industry Account have increased by £293.802.
