The Manila tes' Commission has completed its report on Palestine. It is understood it will raise no objection to the principle of partition, but will suggest a transitional period if necessary, with the modification of the present mandate order to permit the application of partition in tlie best possible conditions. The authorities are endeavouring to stem the unrest that lias been growing recently by gaoling agitators. A dozen were arrested at tire weekend, ineluding the secretary of the General Arab National Committee. There have been attacks on Jews and police. Arabs also are suspected of selling land to Jews.
