RAGLAN BRANCH.
The monthly meeting of the Ragla branch of the W.D.F.U. was held i tiie supper room of the town hall o August 12. The meeting was attended by Mr F. J. B. Byburn, and Mrs W. Godfrey of the Soulh Auckland Provincial Couii cil, who spoke on Hie Wellington con ferenco and Housekeeping Scheme re sportively, their addresses being mos interesting. Arrangements were finalised for Hr Flower Show, which is the annua money-making efforl. An entertain merit will he run in connection will I lie show.
TAUHEI BRANCH. Mrs N. Brown presided at tin monthly meeting of the Tauhei branch of lln- Women's Division. An invilalion was given to all nonmombers in I lie district and I here was a good attendance of members, several new members being enrolled. The competition for a home-made toy was won hy Mrs 1.. Howie, all entries becoming the properly of the branch, to ho forwarded lo' Ihe Sunshine Ward. Plants were exchanged by members. Miss A. Crow gave an eloculioiiar> item. Afternoon lea was served hy the hostesses Mesdames HamhlvrT and shack lei on.
