The Chief Scout and the Chief Guide, Lord and Lady Baden-Powell, were the guests of Queen Wilhelmina of tlie Netherlands yesterday on the | < conclusion of the Scout jamboree at i Vogeienzang. The newspapers report, with favourable comment, a resolution passed • by Hie delegates from 35 nations at ' the final session of the international Scout Conference expressive of the Chief Tjft'out’s teaching on scouting and nationalismThe resolution requests the International Committee to do all It can to ensure that scouting and rovering should possess all the elements of international co-operation and friend- 1 sldp, irrespective of creed and race. Thus, the resolution states, any step to the militarisation of scouting or file introduction of political aims which might cause misunderstanding and handicap the work for peace and goodwill among nations and individuals should he entirely avoided.
