SUCCESSFUL DANCE.

St. AIDAN'S SOCIAL CLUB. VERY HAPPY EVENING. Always a very happy and successful evening, the dance held in the Masonic Hall on Saturday by the St. Aldan’s Social and Dramatic Club was no exception to former functions, and was well attended by members and their friends. Green and gold streamers and balloons had been used most effectively to decorate tho hall, and lovely bowls of mimosa blosscf.i added a further colourful note.

Excellent 'music was played by Sam Bennett’s Orchestra, and novelty dances were much appreciated and added a gay note- During the evening a delicious supper was served. Mrs AV. H. Blakeway was the hostess and wore a frock of black flowered georgette, and velvet coatee. The ladies of the committee present were:— Aliss Aloya Forster, wearing soarlet ooronation crepe. Aliss Leonie Swarbriok, petal pink and silver crepe matalasse. Among those present were:—Misses Dorothy Stranger wearing navy net over taffeta; Pat Blake, foam green cobweb lace; Elsa Seabrook, ivory tinsel crepe: lat Ashmore, parrna violet crepe; Daphne Hibbcrt, black velvet; Margaret Rollo, flame taffeta; Natalie Crossman, black velvet; Joan Redmond, maize and flame taffeta; Edna Goldsworthy, turquoise moire taffeta; Nita Cheesman, spring green georgette; Madge Parkes, briar rose orepella; Kat-h Blakewav, scarlet satin beaute; Gladys Broad, rose pink tinsel crepe; Leonie Morphy, black satin; Joan Cheesman, Ivory taffeta; Dorts Broad, flame panne velvet; Alarjorie Rodda, periwinkle blue tinsel crepe; Marie AloMullin, primrose floral taffeta; P. Eyre, soarlet slipper satin; ■June Taylor, emerald satin beaute; Miriam Boardman, black taffeta; Irene Harrison, forget-me-not blue cobweb lace; Dorothy Ashmore, black luce with green relief.
