STRANGE ANNUAL RITE. INSPECTION OF SEVEN COFFINS. United Tress Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. LONDON, August 13. Recalling the days of Burke and Hare, body-snatchers, an annual rite was observed in Sutton parish churchyard, Surrey. A tomb was opened after prayers had been said and seven colllns were inspected, In accordance with the will of the daughter of James Gibson, who so ordered to prevent Lhc rilling of the tomb. Local residents wore angry as, for the first time, they were not allowed to enter the tomb. They claimed the right to do so as in past years. One said he had entered the tomb each James Gibson died in 1777.
