Mr. A. W. Swap, of Cambridge, Is gazetted as deputy-registrar of births and deaths of Maoris.
The Rev. Clarence Leadley, who Is home on furlough from the Solomon Island Mission Station, is In Hamilton for the week-end.
A call to the Rev. R. G. McDowall, of St. Clair, Dunedin, from St. Luke’s Presbyterian Church, Remuera, has been sustained by the Auckland Presbytery.
After being secretary of the Auckland Golf Club for 18 years, Mr. A. E. M. Rhind has resigned his position as from the end of the present season, the reason being ill-health.
Professor 11. Belshaw has been appointed acting-chairman of the Professorial Board of the Auckland University College during the absence on leave of the chairman. Professor W. Sewell, who will sail by the Arawa tonight ior Southampton.
The Rev. G. M. McKenzie, actingvicar of St. Paul's Pro- Cathedral. Wellington, and formerly headmaster of the Cathedral Grammar School, Christchurch, lias been appointed vicar of St. Michael and All Angels' parish, Kelburn, Wellington.
