Rainfall for year to date, 28.27m. Average yearly rainfall, 46.32in. SPECIAL FORECAST. (By Govt. Meteorologist). The special forecast by the Government Meteorologist covering the WaikatoThames Valley is as follows: Forecast: Moderate to strong south-easterly winds. Weather mainly fair to fine, but a few isolated showers probable. Temperatures cool. Seas rather rough to rough. ■General Inference: Though a very intense anti-cyclone still covers the Dominion, the highest pressure is. over the southern portion of the South Island and conditions, therefore, favour a continuance of south-easterly winds over the North Island.
