SILVER WEDDING.

MAUNGATAUTARI RESIDENTS. Two well-known residents of Maunpatautari. Mr and Mrs J. A. Wallace, celebrated the silver anniversary of then* wedding recently with a jolly party held at their home, "Acacia." The rooms were brightly decorated with vases of spring flowers. After supper Mr and Mrs Wallace were presented with a silver cakedish, the gift of friends in the district. A pleasant evening was spent in community singing and games, and the party was brought to a close with Ihe singing of "Auld Lang Syne" and cheers for the host and hostess. Mrs Wallace was wearing a brown printed moire frock with a brown velvet coatee. Among the guests were:—Mr and Mrs G. Cooper, Mr and Mrs A. McVicar, Mr and Mrs E- J. Peake, Mr and Mrs J. Scott, Mr and Mrs E. Nickle, Mr and Mrs J. Ross, Mr and Mrs A. Trow, Mr and Mrs R. Kirkby, Mr and Mrs D. Ariell, Mrs J. Budge. Misses Nance and Frances Wallace; Messrs J. T. Hicks, Bruce, Max, BriaD and Graham Wallace.
