Trench Fight was Tourth. Time, 1.27 4-5. Cottingham’s Great Display. The Grand National Hurdles provided a most spectacular contest. Blue Tiger and Clarion Call led over the first two fences but Cottingham then went to the front' and held his position throughout. With a round completed, he was two lengths In iront of John Charles and Clarion Cull with Brlgadore, Journet and Jolly Beggar handy. Jolly Beggar made a bad Jump ® l ... e s ix -furlongs post and fell away Cottingham made a magnificent Jump over the iast hurdie, then he and Clarion call settled down to an exciting struggle. Clarion Call appeared to be doing the better Inside the distance, but Cottingham hung on solidly.
