CHEESE OUTPUT.

TOKOROA DAIRYING. INCREASE IN COSTS. (Special to Times.) PUTARURU, Thursday. Another record output of cheese for the company is Indicated in the annual report of the directors to be presented at the annual meeting of the Tokoroa Co-op. Dairy Company, at Tokoroa on August 20, the output for the past season reaching 446 tons, ar. increase of 50 tons over the previous season. Advance payments on the total of the season's butterfat have averaged 12.995 d per lb. and the accounts show a further balance available for distribution of £1909 2s lid. making a total average return irrespective of grade of Is 2.116 d per lb. butterfat. A portion of the balance has already been distributed by way of a bonus of Id per lb. butterfat over the whole season. while a final payment will be made at a later date.

Factory costs show an Increase, wages alone being higher than In the previous season by £4 65. On the average costs of 1935-36 the company’s increased tonnage would have caused a considerable reduction in charges to f.o.b. on a butterfat basis, but actually at 3.231 d per lb. they are only .042 d lower than last season.

The retiring directors. Messrs. J. Campbell, W. M. -Carruthers and J. Mossop. are offering themselves for re-election.
