“GOING FULL BLAST”
DOMINION DEFENCE. CO-OPERATION WITH AUBTRALIA. PRIME MINISTER'S STATEMENTS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Commenting on the cable relating to the statement of the Australian Defence Minister, Sir R. A. Parkhill regarding co-operation in defence policy, the Right 'Hon. M. J. Savage, Prime Minister, stated to-day as far as it was possible to do so, New Zealand was co-operating with Australia on the question of defence. “We are not waiting for the return of Mr Nash. We are going full blast in our reorganisation of the defence forces. Our objective is not to spend millions blindly, but to spend whatever we have to spend intelligently. lam not too sure that this has been done in the past.”
