A fine of £3O in default three months’ imprisonment was imposed today on William Joseph Brosnahan, who pleaded guilty to bookmaking at Ricearton yesterday. It was stated by the police that Brosnahan was taking bets outside the ■ course and had in his possession £3B 2s. He had been fined £2O for a similar offence a few years ago. Counsel said Brosnahan was doing business only in a small way.
