BEEF UP 4/- 100 LB. WESTFIELD MARKET SALES. (Special to Times.) AUCKLAND, Wednesday. A small offering of beef yarded by Dalgety and Co., Ltd., at the weekly Westfield fat stock market to-day accounted for a strong demand and the market took a decided rise, values improving fully 4s per lOOlb. There was a yarding of 119 cows and heifers against 74 head last week. Extra choice ox sold to 38s per 1001 b; choice and prime, 34s to 37s* killable, 28s to 30s; prime young cow and heifer beef, 31s to 3 is; ordinary cow beef. 22s to 28s. Extra heavy prime young cows and heifers ranged from £l2 to £l2 15s; heavy prime, £lO to £ll 15s; lighter prime, £8 15s to £9 17s Gd; light, £7 5s to £8 10s; other killable , cows, £4 10s to £7.
